  • Hi,

after plugging indivision into my amiga I can't get a picture through the hdmi cable, through the vga cable it works perfectly normal.

If it only generates an image through VGA, is indivison ok?

what can it be? any advice how to proceed?

tested 3 different cables and 3 different monitors

Changed the title of the thread from “Indivision MK3 AGA” to “Indivision MK3 AGA, HDMI not worked”.
  • First of all make sure its properly installed... Perhaps clean the Lisa pins first (using a toothbrush and alcohol). Then when you clip the Indivision onto Lisa apply moderate force - it should sit really tight.

  • I'll try, but I don't think it helps, the card sits well when generating a signal on the VGA, it works fine

What's the purpose of the connection to the CIA U7 chip?

  • The CIA connection is for the "live config" feature, you can ignore that for the time being.

I don't know what else to try, we'll have to wait until Jens is back in the office tomorrow :)

  • I've already explained a few things via eMail, but seeing the question about the CIA adapter clearly shows that the manual has been ignored so far. No need to spend time here until the manual has been read and the config tool has been downloaded.

of course I read the manual, which also says:

Indivision AGA MK3 is configured at the factory to output a picture that can be displayed

by most common HDMI- and VGA monitors, so you can start working right away.

However, we recommend to download the config tool and optimize the output according to

your monitor’s capabilities, which will be detected automatically. There is no need for

expert knowledge to enter data like frequencies, resolutions and similar settings.

unfortunately, that's not my case :/

  • I assume that Indivision works and the problem is elsewhere.

That's also my assumption. For switching to HDMI, most (if not all) monitors and TVs have a "source" button, which you need to press in order to tell the unit to switch to a different input port. Please make sure you're really switching to HDMI input on your monitor.

  • the monitor switches inputs automatically, I tried manually,

today I switched on the amiga to take a picture of the monitor message and the amiga booted into the WB via HDMI, I'm surprised:huh: last night it didn't work, I didn't do anything about it, and it looks like the problem is solved (I just don't know how) :D

sorry for the inconvenience and thank you very much for your feedback on the solution to the problem ;)

  • the monitor switches inputs automatically

Some monitors don't check the signals, but require CEC signals for that. Indivision AGA MK3 does not support that. On some monitors, you either need to power-cycle, or press the source butten. This may explain your different experience now.
