  • Looks like I am having a similar problem. Ordered a RapidRoad from AmigaKit.com and installed about 8 weeks ago. It was working fine with flash drives. I last used about 1-2 weeks ago. 2 days ago opened the case to install a slot fan (Evercool Fox-1 )when I booted to check the fan, I noticed the white light was not on anymore. It is no longer detected in Trident. This is a v6.3 motherboard and a recapped (one year ago) original Amiga powersupply (204watt). Buddha still working.

The RapidRoad was purchased in October, delivered 11/13/2020. I'm assuming that this unit does not have the circuit protection mentioned in other posts? Is their any other troubleshooting I should attempt?

    Thanks

  • Can you post a picture of the installation? I'd like to see how power/shield is routed.

Was the PSU also re-capped with the main baord was re-capped?

  • I had removed it, so I replaced to show. I just didn't replace the plastic tie-straps I had to secure it. The power cable is a 4pin Molex to floppy adapter.

Only the PSU has been recapped. The motherboard has not been recapped.

  • Sorry, I misunderstood your words, but now I see "clearly" that you wrote the PSU was re-capped, but not the motherboard. That's understandable, as the A2000 doesn't have the problem of SMD electrolytic caps failing over time.

Just send the unit for repair after reading this article.

  • Don't worry, we're keeping track of everything that was shipped to us, and if it was sold through a reseller, the return shipment also goes through the reseller.

  • That's a link to your own mail box, which I can't open.

Do you have a warranty ID? If it's here, I can look up warranty IDs in the data base.

  • Sorry,

That's a link to the PM conversation we had. Looks like you left the conversation on 3/10/21.

I do not have the ID number. I do have the package tracking number and the original amigakit invoice with order number, but I am unable to send you a message through private conversation.

    Thanks,

    Mark

  • Found it - it's been repaired and is now waiting to be shipped to AmigaKit with their next order. Note that you're not a direct customer, and our contract is with AmigaKit, so we're returning it to them for further processing.

  • returned to AmigaKit on June 29th, 2021. Have them check position#6 of the invoice: Free repair.
