  • Please do specify what version of P96 this is, and what screenmode you''re using. DOes this change if you change the resolution and/or colour depth?

  • OK, had to talk back with Thomas about this, and the effect is actually due to the Cirrus graphics chip being pushed to it's limits: There is not enough time for the mouse pointer DMA to be done at the end of a line.

You may be able to work around this by tweaking the modes using P96Prefs: Either move the screen position to the left (and move it back on your monitor), or increase the "front porch" value, giving the chip more time to do memory accesses before the line actually ends. The wider you make the total screen, the "more right" the effect will happen, until it eventually is out of the visible area.

Unfortunately, this is just a visual effect and cannot be detected in software, so there is no way to give this an automated correction.
