I used an old PROXMIA power director which had a space for the old 5.25" floppy disks to house an 5.25" CD/DVD drive which it connects to the eSATA project. Once the power director has been unplugged from power and the top case removed. I gutted out any plastic to allow the instillation of the CD/DVD drive using a Dremel cut off wheel and plyers to look as shown in the pictures. After you make it look like this (or better) and connect an eSATAp cable to the SATA connector of the drive. Reassemble it and connect all power plugs and connect the eSATA cable to the A3000 or A1200. On the A1200 I will be posting an eSATA connector project mounted inside the A1200 and an external slim CD/DVD drive could be connected via eSATA cable. You can see the slim drive in the pictures.
