  • Hi,

    I have A A500 and want to add 512 K of memory.

The A512 expansion is given to be compatible with all 500 motherboards from rev 3 to rev 8.

Mine is a very early one and I don't know the rev. So I wonder if I can plug the A512 to it without danger.

    See photographs attached.

  • If it doesn't work, may it damage the motherboard ?

There is no reason it shouldn't work. And even if for some very, very strange reason it didn't work, there is no reason why it would damage the motherboard.

  • Your picture shows a Rev.3 mother board. While it's rare, it has the same pinout as later A500 main boards, so the A512 will work.

And for the unlikely case that there's damage on your computer that can be tracked back to our products: We have a product liability insurance.
