  • Hi,

I recently bought an Aca500Plus, and just tried booting my A500 with it for the first time. I'm not sure I do things correctly, or if there is a problem.

The A500 has been serviced recently with new capacitors. I use the original PSU. It does not have a disk drive connected (I don't own a working one). No memory card is inserted in the trap door.

If I power it on without the Aca500Plus, I see the 1.3 kickstart hand on the screen. If I power it on with the Aca500Plus inserted, the screen turns purple and the code E5 is shown on the display on the card. It does not help to reset the Amiga with Ctrl-A-A. I then tried to boot it with a CF-card inserted into the boot slot, but the result is the same.

Any advice of things I could try?

    Best regards
