  • Hello.

I have installed as SID2 a CSG 6582. The C64R MK2 doesn't seem to recognize it. The output I get from the terminal (using the "I" option) is the following:

    VIC-II: 8565 (78 00 AF55 PAL)
    SID 1: 8580 (08 00)

    SID 2: Unknown (94 98)

    CPU : PHI2 OK (0450)

    READY etc.

The 6582 is known to be tested and working. How can I solve this issue? I am concerned that, failing the automatic detection, the 6582 will get 12V instead of 9V.

    Thanks.

  • There is one detail about the 6582 chip that you should know: It's the exact same silicon as a 8580 chip. So the chip is perfectly recognized, and it will sound just right. Nothing to fix here :-)
