Don't Panic. Please wash hands.

Hope for progress on C64 PSU - I really need two or three new :-( If the PSU design you have now works consistently for new C64c only could it not be marketed as such ? I know that is less than desirable to say the least but .. I really need more PSUs :-( and there are very few good ones oujt there that I know about.

Going a little offtopic but I dont know where to put it else ..
Is there NO way the new/used Eizo in the shop can go down to 15 khz for Amiga classic RGBtoVGA adapter like the BenQs BL702a and BL912 ?

Otherwise great initiative to have a Chameleon supported display available !

    Greets !

Well ! Good news and bad news ! With the C64 keyboard compatible core, both my Amiga keyboards work !
But bad news, they dont work AS they should ! But that is because they are partly broken :(
Short story - some on one, and quite a few on the other, of the keys, dont work.

And apparently someone has made some creative soldering on the top corner of one of them, (not me !)

I dont know if that is why it sometimes crashed with double blink on capslock light and stopped responding.
Sadly that was the keyboard with the most working keys too. Just lower left hand system keys didnt work. (CTRL SHIFT AMIGA etc)
(Used Keir Frasiers testkit keyboard test.)

However ! Good news in the end - I did not damage Docking or Chameleon ! Thanks Heavens !

Ahh though I meant an Amiga external keyboard connected to the dockingstation ? Hmm atleast maybe my keyboards arent broken then ! I took great care to connect black wire on the arrow side. But what was worriesome was that I got no response from the Hwtest (on the Amiga keyboard) the PS2 keyboard flashed leds and main unit too. Luckily the dockingstation seems fully ok after these adventures :-/ joystickports work etc. I could move the mouse pointer on the hwtest though. The rest was a bit confusing, could I not have the latest version ??
I will try the AGA core too !!

    Hello !

I am having some problems with two Amiga keyboards I am trying to connect to the chamv2 /v2 docking.
First : I am connecting the white plug with black wire on the black wire arrow on docking station.
But I am getting no response when in Amiga minimig core ? On one of the keyboards I can turn on and off the caps lock light with a press.

But no keys produce any output. Both powerlight and floppy activity light is on too :-(

This cant be right. Are both my keyboards broken or have I broke them myself.

I was unsure if the keyboards were working 100% but I only expected some stuck keys..;(

Well ! Now I can verify that it worked great for me too ! No additional VAT or fee charged !! AND I could order home delivery ! Couldn't that before on foreign packages ! Now soon to test PSUs !!

Just wanted to apologise about negative words about image quality of V2 on FB. Looks like its resolved now, better PSU on V1 and better VGA cable on V2 ! Plus apparently there is some flicker due to the way the AGA core for minimig works ! And that is not due to hardware itself.

Apparently my Chameleon v1 should have power greater than 5v ! I got some artifacts moving a little on the multicable but none when I used the 5.1 V iPad charger. But I HATE Apple and prefer not to use that charger. And I struggle to find other 5.1 V supplies. I thought about the Raspberry Pi supplies as I think they said they were 5.1 V but unfortunately they are micro usb and non detachable cable so I need a type a female to micro b female adapter or another 5.1 V supply :-( ANYONE have tips for me ? Thanks in advance ! And my image problems might also be solved due to the 5.1V supply voltage (but I would prefer to get it from other source than built by Apple .. :-( ) And the other v2 image problems were likely due to poor VGA cable !

Thanks for reply ! I know I'm a little out of line here as I saw that a lot was answered already in the Quickstart guide -
For my v1 all these years I only used the PSU that Vesalia supplied back in the start - I see now it also is 5V but 1,2 Amps ! (Hama)

I found I also have two dedicated USB PSUs 5V/2A (with detached USB cable) - but they are of nondescript China type so I think those might be a bad idea ? And I have no way to check if they are _regulated_ (?) I really need to get more electronics skills :-(

In addition to the old iPad1 charger I have a new 2A Samsung charger and an old Samsung charger both for Galaxy Tabs. Could these be likely candidates ?

    Hello !

Im probably posting this in the wrong section, but as its about a PSU I thought maybe it could go here.

Today I got the new Chameleon v2. :-)
And to be safe I thought I'd ask one time too many, instead of once too little.

I just wonder what PSU I should use for the Chameleon now ?
Can I use any 5V PSU ? I remember there was some mention of that it should be 5,1 V ?
I see that the PSU plug is mini-USB not micro so that limits me to PSUs with detachable cable.
I would otherwise maybe use a RPi PSU but they dont have detachable cable.

I have an old iPAD 1 PSU/charger, that I think is 5,1V (not very much used, so should still be good ?)
The PSU on my old Cham. v1 is just a nondescript USB psu but its 5,1V I think.

The amperage should be greater than 1A ? Only 1A on that iPad PSU/charger.
I plan to use PS2 mouse and keyboard.

    Thanks for any info !

But I think IF not implemented by seller it seems I pay postoffice fee+VAT on import to Norway as usual before, so its not a crisis.

Though I agree for sure it seems they try to curb free trade for small sellers more than they try to help out on trade :-(
