First of all, its not a good Idea to have non powered devices on the bus, this will cause problems in one way or another.
That said, what you describe sounds like either a problem with one of the power supplies in your setup, or that 1541 - do you have another drive to test with perhaps?

Log in into the shop, then buy it, and download it from your order history.

ARMsid is not detected as such, but since the MK2 will always fall back to "safe" values/voltages, it will still work. You'll have to live with a blinking LED though

replaced the PSU with one from Electroware Poland
Please try with the original PSU
-
petcat also runs on windows though, its part of VICE
-
Jens should confirm this, IIRC this part of the PCB can be cutoff and used to create an adapter for some keyboard (i forgot which)
Jens this info should probably go into the WIKI
-
Next time just ask to move the post
-
The original PSU is infact better than most replacements on the market You might want to check our Powersupply FAQ. That page you linked shows no specs whatsoever - usually a good indicator for staying away from a PSU.

Ah yes, the CIA mirrors, i remember now
-
Well, in any case, since it works at a C64, there isn't much we can do about it - Gideon will have to fix it
-
My U64 is from the first batch, which had a buggy CPLD (that is a programmable logic chip) on it, which needs to be updated for the I/O mapping to work 100% correctly. I was planning to do this next time i can meet Gideon at the X party.... and then this corona crap started. If your U64 isnt from the first few hundred (iirc ~200 or so) then you will not need this, i think.
-
ok, the generated file looks good. not sure how to proceed... as said the code for the flasher is pretty much the same (except one is loading from disk, the other is not) *shrug*
i'll have to setup my U64 and see if i can reproduce the problem (i still didnt get the CPLD update though, so no idea how much sense that makes)
-
could you attach the RRNETMK3.ROM you have generated? lets see if that is even a valid rom
-
now i am confused. and the older firmware works? please describe exactly what you are doing there (eg did you powercycle after flashing? what happens then? is it back to the older firmware?) the code used for flashing is the exact same for both so if one works, the other works
-
Please define "doesnt work". Are you sure you actually flashed it? The new firmware should be more stable than the old one actually
-
Perhaps updated and link points to old files? robinsonb5 ?

That has been on my "nice to have" list for a while, so yes, will look at it some day (also for chaco/chacocmd)

He is extremely unresponsive on email unfortunately... Apparently Facebook is required to reach him these days

Who knows
