I bought an expensive 16 GB Sandisk, as I didnt want to loose another CF card and 32 GB Sandisk was same price, and that is working. It didnt boot up as the LIBS is not in the roms anymore since 3.1.4, but upgrade 3.1 and working. Speed is a bit disappointed. A2091 SCSI2SDv6 get me 2 MB/s on my stock 2000 and with Buddha IDE 700 KB/s. I would expect 1.5/2 MB/s. Maybe the 030 card will speed this up. But the good news is it works.

I waited for 15 hours (last evening till now) and no result.
BTW I'm using IDE drives, no SATA with adapter or so, authentic IDEs.
This evening a friend comes with his CF Card. Also in the near future I want to test with KS 3.1. I suspect some incompatibility with 3.1.4 as booting with WB 3.1.4 results in only showing RAM Disk and nothing more. According some Amiga forum users maybe caused by SCSI/Buddha hard coded way how to implement driver loading. I have no clue, only it's not working with any IDE HDD or CF card. It get recognised (only the 500 GB doesnt but maybe that one is faulty). The other ones get recognised but can't be formated, WB goes right but after WORK it stalls.
-
The 160 GB IDE is recognized but like the 64 GB CF Card the formatting of WORK is taking ages. Is this not a quick format? How long should I have to wait before 160 GB is formatted? And 64GB?
-
I did the flash update last week so that is not the issue, also Jens confirmed in the post for you it would be no problem. It is... going to test a 160 GB HDD later this evening.
-
I tried Maxtor IDE DiamondMax 11 with cable select and master only, not recognised
Not via DOM install not via Workbench 3.1.4 HDToolbox.
Tommorow I get an IDE HDD with 160 GB from a friend.
-
ok. So if I use a 500 GB IDE hard disk it should always work ? Also with 3.1.4 ? I have a 500 GB IDE hdd. I will try that one.
-
So it is 3.1.4 compatible ? Using 3.1 kickstart will not work better ?
I used this CF card on a TF HC530.
I don't have any other CF card.
How do I know the c.f. card is supported? Like I asked before which size is supported. And this one works on the TF with kickstart 3.1.4.
-
Is it compatible with kickstart 3.1.4? I removed the settings and booted with only install3.1.4 and it doesnt show the workbench to choose the install.
if I remove the cf card I can see the workbench and install.
but this way I cant use hdtoolbox to partition the cf card.
Do I have to use 3.1 kickstart?
-
I ran the upgrade without the 030 and the upgrade works.
It also recognizes now my 64 GB CF Card
My CF card didn't boot up so I used the DOM to install WB 3.1 on KS 3.1.4. It doesnt boot after installing it. Booting from disk with install3.1.4 does not work either.
Also it seems it doesnt format Work. No LED activity, is this normal during format? Why does it take that long? After one hour I powered off.
I thought installing SCSI was difficult. But this is not really PnP.
Tried to install with WB but WB format goes well and quick but on Work it seems it hangs.

Jens, I used HELP to see the arguments but they are not uptodate. If no arguments are given Buddha_20y.rom is used. This is how I found showconfig.
-
Press Y to start.
Flashing now...
Write error address $0800
Error flashing rom
when using showconfig: CPLD : yes, Flash:no
So I presume it's not upgraded yet.
I booted with left mouse button pressed on power-up. Didnt see a black/green screen. During bootup? Which software are you referring too?
-
I copied the ADF to a real floppy, same issue, so it's not the protection of the disk the error is referring too.
How to disable the protect to be able to upgrade the flash?
Which arguments do I have to use to upgrade the firmware without any errors?
-
I used the arguments from the indivision: flash firmware
but then the error comes:
Maxwait must be combined with persist
but if I add persist on the end, it give me a write protection error, I'm using the ADF on a Gotek.
-
If I run buddhaflashtool I get error loading.
I can't find on the wiki how to use properly buddhaflashtool, which arguments or so.
-
Yes you wrote that, but how do I do this? I can't find any arguments/instructions how to do it.
-
also tried different slot, same error.
also tried with DOM inserted, same error.
-
I get a:
Not properly connected
buddha-cpld-upgrade failed returncode 10
I booted from the ADF. Tried connecting and disconnecting CF. No difference.
what should i do?
-
I can just run it and then it works?
What limit size should I consider? Which is the biggest size you could let work with it?
I will try tommorow and report back here.
Thanks for the fast reply.

Hi,
I bought a Buddha IDE 20 anniv. edition and got it today.
What is the limit of the CF Card? I have a 64 GB and that one was working on a HC530 in the same Amiga 2000. HC530 is removed and now I have a GVP 030.
The DOM get recognized but the CF card isn't. The installer starts but doesn't show any additional 'drives', only the DOM.
I have 2 CF Card adapters but both give no result with the Buddha.
What can I do?
