  • Hi there,

I recently got myself an aca1233n with 26mhz 030 since the faster variant is not available. If I want to upgrade the CPU, by soldering in a faster chip into the aca1233 will the board detect the cpu speed and run at the faster Mhz?

    Thanks,

    Steve

  • No, a faster CPU will also run at 26MHz with that card. We do not offer such an upgrade path - unfortunately, we've done lots of free product support for people who have self-upgraded and even overclocked their ACA1232 cards, but that really got out of hand. Please understand that we only support the cards in the confuguration as shipped, and only in the environment that it's meant for (A1200 or ACA500/ACA500plus).
