Getting Grey Screen on Start.

    I just assembled a C64R MK2.


    When starting up the computer I get a grey screen. No artifacts...just a full grey screen.

    The LED light will go green and then turn off.


    I have tried direct svideo into the svideo port of a TV and also a svideo to hdmi convertor with the same issue.


    I am getting the following chipset info that appears to look good:


    VIC-II: 8562 (B3 00 9874 NTSC)

    SID 1 : 6581 (A2 D5)

    SID 2 : Unknown (13 00)

    CPU : PHI2 OK (045E)

    MCU : 20180227


    Any ideas on what could be wrong? Has anyone seen this before?

    This may be a simple contact problem. Please try to shift the chips left&right while the sockets are closed (lever down), so they scratch away any oxides from the contacts.
