Downsizing is not hard to do - Irfanview on Windows, Gimp on Linux, various apps on mobile.
Just double-clicking on the ADF probably opens a WB window, and it's expected not to see anything there. The ADF only contains the LHA of the installer, which does not have an icon. You should use a file manager such as DirectoryOpus to unpack the LHA.

rightclick. pulldownmenu, show all files, show by name. then you get the content of that folder equal if there is a .icon or not
