  • Hi :-)

I have an Amiga 500 with ACA500plus and I just added an ACA1221lc. I'm loving the speed but would like to be able to disable the CPU on the 1221lc so that I can use cloaking mode.

However when I use the command ACATOOL CPUOFF or ACATOOL FORCE CPUOFF, I get the response "Card cannot disable/enable CPU".

I'm no expert so very sorry if I'm missing something obvious, but could really use some guidance.

    Thanks!

  • ah I see. So there is no way to use cloaking mode with the aca1221lc attached?

Jens was making a switcher a time ago, I don’t know when it will available. Maybe Jens knows 🙂

I can't say when it'll be available. The prototypes were working OK when I built them, and both lost their MCU programming over time - the one that's left here does not work any more, and the one I have shipped to Finland for inclusion of the functionality into the ACA500plus menu system also does not work any more.

So far, there is no answer from the MCU manufacturer about the possible cause of the memory loss. Without that, I can't ship a product, because it's very likely that they will all fail in the field.
