  • Hello,

can anyone test and post back. Aqua do not start, Myst game crashes after some time. Note that both games worked OK with Blizzard 1230/MK4 32mb ram accelerator several years ago on this machine.

Aqua 800 0004 error when you double click icon to start game.
Myst (PAL High Res Laced): starts OK. 1click forward, 2 click forward, 3rd click forward, 8000 003 Error. Task: 004304E0

Not overclocked, PCMCIA compatibility turned off, Ide speeder deactivated.

  • Update: Since I have extra 4/8 my expansion for A1200, I just tested with that. Both games behave the same, however Aqua gave 8000 0006 error.
Could be that Kick3.1.4 causes this problem I will have to test that as well.

Since this is not ACA 1221lc problem, you can close this thread, or leave it open and I will post findings once I test with lower ROM version.

  • Most games that I throw in CDROM work correctly, can it be that these games require 68030 CPU as minimum requirement?
For example, I tried loading T-Zero, it started OK, menus and intro sequences run, but crashed when entering the game. I later read that minimum for T-Zero is 68030 CPU.
However, I tried "Tales from heaven", which minimum reqs say , it ran on my Amiga with ACA overclocked to 40. Really impressive.

  • Update: Myst game works fine. I deleted full install from DH1 and did again, but just minimal install.
It works form CD as it should. Maybe some files were corrupted, I do not know.

About AQUA game, I cannot find sys requirements anywhere (for now).

It requires 020 only, which made me suspect something was wrong with settings. Reinstalled, changed resolution to PAL (laced, second low) and Game started.
Runs really quickly with ACA1221lc overclocked. I am satisfied. Sorry about false alarm, but it took some time to investigate everything. Admin can close this thread.

  • Please remove the CD drive from your setup. We have already established that your unbuffered setup will cause instability. We do not support such setups, as they are just asking for trouble. No need to report any more errors unless you have fixed the known-bad things in your system.
