I tried to swap the SID and I don’t have the same values
with 6581 in SID1 and 8580 in SID2, I have respectively (9C CA) and (21 20).
When I swapped them, I have : (21 18) and (A0 CC)
Please, don’t tell me my board is broken...
And my C64 are second hands. I used them to play games or demos or to code.
I can’t say what previous owner had done with them.

Ok, I’ll check the chips again and if it doesn’t work, I’ll buy a new one

I’m from France, Paris to be precise.
The two 8580 come from two C64c I own.
Do you sell SID?

Hi,
I always be told that plugging a Sega Megadrive pad on a C64 can kill the CIA (for example https://www.google.fr/amp/s/am…drive_control_pad_on_c64/)
What’s about the C64r? Can I use a Sega pad without worrying about killing the board or the chips?
thanks

Hi
I’m using the one you sell (order 65640). I didn’t want to take the risk with another PSU.
cheers

scratching the pins didn’t help

I’ll try to scratch the pins tonight

But why it can’t see my 8580?

Hi,
as you asked, I attached a photo of the output. Hope it would help.

Hi,
I bought recently a mk2. It works like a charm but there’s something is disturbing me. When I use it with a 8580(r5 if I remember well). The SID is not detected and I have the green led flashing but everything is working : I have sound. I have 2 8580 and both have the same problem. The only way I found to have the led stop flashing is to install a 6581 in the slot 1 and a 8580 in slot 2.
Anyone have an idea?
