Martins reply here:
Read from ARMSID is more difficult as we have to react to CS and prepare data to the bus for the clock change, there is only a little time for that. Usually SID players only write. Reading from the ARMSID is needed in configuration utilities, so they are more sensitive to bus timing, but otherwise the ARMSID can play OK in most cases, as there is quite a lot of time during write cycle to react to bus.
I have absolutely no idea about Turbo Chameleon bus timing, what could be soon or late. It definitely is different from standard C64, as the ARMSID/ARM2SID works in all standard C64s and C128s and Ultimate 64 as well. It will also definitely not work in any turbo modes.
-
My TC64 is V1
I ask Martin about "read is pretty tight"
-
One thing that would be interesting to know... if you put only one ARMSID into the MK2, then configure the chameleon for "mono" - does the config program work now?
I'll try it later.
What Martin from ARMSID said tom me is this:
The ARMSID and ARM2SID will definitely not work with different bus timing. The read is sometimes pretty tight. We do not have the Turbo Chamaleon 64, so we were not able to test ARMSID and ARM2SID with it. We did not have any reports about it until now. Let me know if you find anything.

Here is a mess with the C64MK 2, the TC64, the SIDs and the ARMSIDs
The only configuration that doesn't work is the C64R MK2 + TC64 + ArmSID. All the other work well
-
Yes. As said before ,I can configure ARMSIDs and execute the demos linked before with a Ultimate 15411 II attached on my C64R MKII but the TC2 ( the cartridge I normally use), I can't both

Here is the info:

Do you mean on the TC64, on the Emulation Settings, put it like this ? Because it doesn't work

Next I tryed the same configuration with 2 ARMSIDs, the special Reloaded edition.
With a Ultimate 1541II they works perfectly but with the Chameleon, the Armsid config program doesn't found the Armsids
I imagine that then the audio configuration in the TC64 is not correct
Get me out of doubts ;D
-
It was my Chameleon configuration. Now I changed it and works
Is the way I have configured it correct?

Ok but both melodies, and I imagine the rest that uses 2 SIDs, don't work.
Where have I made the mistake?
-
Thanks. It worked well and I'm in.
I've 2 real 8580 on my C64R MKII. To hear 2SID songs with the second at d420, is correct this configuration?
A L
S 4
Because I can't hear demos like Game of Thrones or Blade Runner...

I'm trying to configure my MKII. I need to connect my laptop to it with the cable. I follow the instructions from here http://wiki.icomp.de/wiki/C64_…ed_mk2#Stereo_SID_options but Prolific-USB to serial COMM port (COM3) does not appear on the list

What do I do wrong ?

+1 vote to Y/N and autofire->jump! ;D

What demos or games take advantage of the Turbo mode of the Chameleon? I do not mean to take advantage of the speed, like any game that accelerates it, but to recognize the cartridge.
I know the game "Slipstream" and the demo of Cosine "MD201706"

I have written to him and I await an answer ;D

Just like I've seen labels for the ultimate 64, are there stickers for the c64 case with reloaded?
;D

It's just a suggestion and I do not think it influenced the compatibility. It would be just remapping the B button with another function, in this case the UP option.
I have a joystick with 2 buttons, which do the same function, and I have remapped the second one so that it can jump with it. With many games like Sams Journey or any one in which you have to jump, it makes it easier, and more with the Crosspad of the CDTV pad.
-
I do not know if many users use the CDTV pad but I think it would be interesting if the buttons could be reprogrammed. The A and B trigger buttons have the same function and giving the B button another function, for example jump (command above) would make many users, at least me, use it more in platform games.
