Don't Panic. Please wash hands.

I could't get any sound from HDMI when connected to my FullHD monitor with speakers.

I tried different settings but nothing happend. I still get sound from chinch->minijack.

I could test only one monitor. I also have two TVs, the first would not find Indivisino signal,

I will try with the second tommorow.

I disconnected CIA port by now, could this be a cause?

But afterall thats not a big problem. Those monitos has very weak speakers

so I am using them temporary, I preferer stronger external speakers so I will connect them by minijack anyway.

I tried with different parameters but finnaly I ended with Pre: 640x512 PAL that outputs 1240x1024 resolution

instead of Pre: 800x600 PAL that outputs 800x600. The first one gives biger picture, also scanlines are not much distorted.

I think is the best so far for lowres resolutions and games.

I tried to make my own settings using 1920x1080 or other resolution but I always ended with distored, streched or distorted scanlies output.

    yep its hard :-)

Maybe in further firmware release you could add some additional predefined setting like 640x512 PAL that will output not streched 1920x1080

    with not distorted scanlines.

    Hi,

I got a suggestion about scanlines overlay. I don't know if that is possible, but this is just an idea for consideration.

As output resolutions are always fixed in standards like: 800x600, 1024x768, 1240x1024, 1920x1080 etc.

maybe it is possible to create embeded and fixed (not scalable) scanlines overlays for every resolution.

With only intensity value for set. That overlay should be layered after all input scaling and before output

Something like Indivision overlay with current parameters informations that appears in the top-corner.

so the scanlines would't be affected when input image is scaled and moved, so it would avoid distortions.

Also there would be possible then to add some different pattern variations.

This blank space can be filled by changing the scaling values. However, the "PRE" modes are protected from being changed - all the fields become really adjustable after you've made a copy of the mode and applied that to the "current" screen mode.

Also, you can always use the live configuration mode to move and stretch the picture, even in-game.

The "pre" modes for PAL and NTSC are chosen with a low output resolution in order to be compatible with most monitors. The higher the resoluton of your monitor, the higher you can go with the output resolution, and the better the results of our internal scaler will be. Your monitor looks like it's a full-HD, so you might want to try 1920x1080 and then re-try the scanline emulation. Further, the scaler can be adjusted with the HFilter and VFilter sliders. Scanline emulation is especially hard for the scaler, as an alternating pattern of the highest-possible frequency in the Y-axis is really pushing our simple scaler to it's limits. It gets *much* better if you use the full native resolution of your monitor.

Thanks for answer, I will try it..

    Hello,

I am using MK3 for a couple of days and I like it a lot.

Also I have just updated Firmware to 1.5.

I got a question please see at attached pictures for more information.

My WB is in HighGFX mode 1024x768 and the WB screen fills up the whole monitor height

from very top to the bottom without even 1 pixel of blank space - which is great! (picture s1)

But when I am launching standard WHDLoad games (or switchng WB mode to hires laced)

the screen goes to 800x600 resolution but it not fills up the whole height of the screen anymore.

    (picture s2)

There is some blank space between the picture and monitor edge.

I tried to change Pre: 800x600 PAL from 800x600 VESA to 1024x768 VESA but also there is a blank space.

    (picture s3)

Also, I am using scanlines overlay 75% in that mode. When Pre 800x600 PAL is displaying 800x600 the lines are perfect.

But when I change Pre: 800x600 PAL to run in 1024x768 the lines are not distributed evenly, Their position looks like scaled/distorted.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello everyone,

I just got the Indivision AGA Mk3, I am very pleased with this product so far.. thanks very much Jens and the Crew! :-)

    - at first I could't mount the LISA cap - my Lisa chip is HP manufactured, but I just pressed a bit harder and it clicked..

    - I get rid off CIA cap, I disconnected it. The product was acting weird after pressing the keyboard shorcut, the OSD turns to blue and different modes were swiching every a few seconds.

    - So I just installed Config Tool

    - after some experiments I ended at: HighGFX mode for WB 1024x768, looks amazing and I got about 1,5 MB of free chip mem with 16 colors.

    - for low and hires laced I turn on scanline overlay for 75% (it improves low res graphics a lot), also I turned on Double Buffer

    - I also placed the case metal cage on its place, I am not planning to cut holes, I think it doesn't even touch the Indi.

    - flashing software very useful, because I have already "broken" the card testing some modes, so I could'd return to the fabric settings

    - the one thing that dissapointed me a bit, was that when I moving mouse or windows, or hires game is moving I can see scanlines/fields

Anyway I recommend this product earlier I was using cheap SCART converter and OSSC, so I got a comparission,

I am staiyng with Indivision for sure :)

Hi, I am very interested in that cards.. 040 for sure, but I was wondering about 060..

will 060 be stable on AOS 3.1.4? Do I need additional drivers or other OS? I never had a 060 but many years ago I heard people complaining that not everything was working on 060 in comparision to 040..

The scanline feature has been switchable ever since we've introduced it. A simple trick to have WB not use the scanline feature is to run it in a screen mode other than PAL non-lace. You want to have more space on WB anyway, don't you :-)?

Thanks for reply.. I am not sure we are talking about the same, I was thinking about a scanline layer that could be overlayed with variable intensity on the final output just before display to help reducing pixelisation on old games, something like here: EXAMPLE

Low res games with that overlay looks much better..

By now I am using OSSC, it doesn't reduce interlace flickering unfortunately but have an .option to add that scanline overlay to imitate CRT screens..

Of course I didn't use Indivision so far, so I don't have any experience with it :)

    Hello,

I am very interested in new Indivision AGA 3, I hope it will be available for buy soon..

Anyway, I have this suggetion that maybe is possible to implement or consider..

I am talking about the possiblity to turn on/off scanline overlay, something similar you can do in OSSC.

Its not necessery in Workbench because it can work in higher resolution, but that scanline overlay

helps a lot in lowres PAL resolution in games, so the pixelisation is not that significant..

    Thanks for Your work
