As mentionned for ACA1221lc "... The IDE speedup to PIO mode 3 is activated with a software setting...."
That's why i am wondering if IDE Speeder is possible on ACA1221ec with a software setting too?

The IDE speeder itself is a hardware feature that's not present on the ACA1221ec. It is only present on the ACA1221lc and the ACA1233n (latest version that came out this summer). It will also be present on the ACA1240/1260, but can't be retro-fitted on older accelerators.
While this is a hardware feature, it can be switched on and off in software.
