  • Hello,

I have jumper 2 set high so that I can use the expansion ram as chip ram. I can use older ram expansion boards and they work but they have bad ram on them so they eventually throw errors. When I install the A512 I just get a black screen and a green not blinking power lead? The A512 works fine in my 500+ just not in my rev 6. Perhaps a jumper setting is needed?

I have no idea what that means, and J2 is only for disabling the RTC in an A500+, so it's not the jumper to change. I'd remove it for Rev. 5 or Rev.6, as there is no second 512k expansion on the pass-through connector of your A512.

J1 is the one that should be removed if you have the 1M chip ram modification in your Rev.5/6 A500.

J1 did the trick and all memory tests passed.

    Thank you
