  • Hello, I recently received a new ACA500plus and have had odd behavior with it from the start. It would, seemingly randomly, stop working and display the number 20 on the LED display, or display nothing and a red LED on the bottom left of the LED display. Today it began to do this and I noticed that if I tilt the edge of the card that is opposite the computer up slightly, it works without apparent flaw. However, as soon as it tilts down again so that it is resting flat on the computer table, it stops working. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this possibly a problem with the card edge connector on the ACA500plus board?

    Thank you,

    Daniel

  • It's likely to be a problem of your A500 having a dirty connector. Although the surface of the contacts always looks "golden", it is likely that these contacts have collected dust or even salt if you live close to the shore.

Clean the contacts with alcohol and a micro fibre cloth, and you won't experience these problems any more.
