  • Hello,

I bought over the time both 2x ARMSID and 2x Swinsid Ultimate. I tried alternatively on MK2 board, but seems that they’re both not recognized (“SID1 is not recognized, check U19”). Launching ARMSID configuration program recognizes the chip but not via Teraterm (and the green led on the board blinks too). I wonder if it’s a board problem-side or chip problem-side.

    Thanks

  • To the mk2 firmware these SID replacements look very much like an empty socket, so the board will issue the warning.

They will (very likely) still work correctly in the mk2.

  • I found the problem. The ARMSID is sold with a specific “mod” (A resistor) in order to make it recognizable by the MK2. I bought the “normal” Stereo version.
