  • Hi,

in an attempt to finally get the audio-over-HDMI function out of it's "experimental" state, we've updated the core to fix a bug in frequency generation. Previously, users reported that the 48kHz setting was not working for them, but 96kHz audio did work. This was likely due to the exact frequency being off the target frequency, which is now fixed.

Please note that acceptance of the sampling frequency largely depends on the receiving device. There may still be capture devices that only accept 44.1kHz, but as 48kHz is the go-to frequency for pretty much every HDMI monitor/TV since the standard was introduced, this *should* now work a lot better. Please report back by replying in this thread.

The new Indivision config tool V1.13 with updated firmware of November 19th is available from our Wiki.

  • Ok, my testing was less than perfect. I hooked up my A1200 to a receiver over HDMI recently and only got analog audio. What I didn't realize until after upgrading the firmware is that this was because the mk3 was in DVI/no-audio mode. So it could have worked perfectly with the old firmware, but I can't be sure now unless it's worth the trouble to downgrade the firmware to check.

With the CamLink 4K HDMI capture dongle I get very choppy audio in 48 kHz. I tried 44.1 with no difference and then 96 kHz which was ok for a few seconds but then again the same. The Mac reported 48 kHz, though...

  • Thanks for the update. I own a total of 7 Indivision AGA MK3s, and for me, it's the cleanest product on the Amiga market. I'm most impressed by the 50 Hz Full HD mode: AGA MK3
