That would either be something for the networking, or the P96 section, but not the news section.

If in doubt, perform the network update on your ACA500plus, and re-install the X-Surf 500 driver. There has been an update (quite some time ago) that makes sure the Sana2 driver works with all hardware revisions of the ACA500plus. However, it should not be influenced by the P96 driver.

I've been too busy to test this, but just fired the Amiga up today and my samba mount to network share is broken as well since the networking won't start up any longer after the indivision firmware update slong with the new P96 driver. Im using roadshow so that no longer recognizes the XSurf.
I'll try the network update when i get some time and ill post my startup config file as those get loaded with stuff over time

Ok, so I finally got some spare time to take a look at this...
Jens, I did as you recommended, just reinstalled the XSurf network install package and networking has returned!
I assume this replaced my previous Roadshow with the stuff XSurf uses, but that sounds fine at this point.
I am loving 1024x768 256 color Workbench with some really good speed. Previously 800x600 was about as high as you wanted to go while still maintaining pretty good speed.
