In the past years, production and start of sales of the ACA1240/1260 had to be delayed again and again. Last week, we've finally started taking pre-orders for this new accelerator. Not all features of the card are fully developed yet, which is why each variant of the card is currently offered at a discount of 59.50 EUR (incl. 19% VAT). When these features are available, they can be added to the card free of charge by doing a simple flash update.
The ACA1240/1260 is available with different processor versions and speeds of up to 100MHz. It's always equipped with 256MBytes of memory. An elaborate cooling system with temperature-controlled fan makes sure that the CPU stays cool even when it's overclocked. All technical details have already been published on late October of 2024 in this forum.
The Amiga market has seen a lot of so-called "scalping" in the past years: Some people only bought rare hardware to make a quick profit. The items were bought, only to offer them at insanely high prices when the products were officially sold out. To keep this from happening, we're only offering the ACA1240/1260 to existing customers during the first months. If you want to see and order the ACA1240/1260 in our shop, please make a member account and send us an eMail, so we can approve your account for this accelerator. If you have bought your iComp gear from resellers before, please send us the warranty IDs of those products in your eMail - this is enough to count as "existing customer".
