  • Hi,

I was wondering if there are any plans to release a more compact (fit within the space of an a1200's RF module, once removed for example) HDMI board? Or perhaps gerbers/files to enable users to order PCBs?

Had sourced an alternative from another online store, but just noticing image 'noise' at certain times, on certain games/demos :/ (needless to say, swapped back to the original supplied board again.. but sadly it now hangs out the back of the case due to the lack of space in the usual expansion port area).

    Cheers!

    No.

You're not the only one. I'm not amused about such low-quality products either - hobbyists pretending to be hardware developers has caused a lot of damage to the Amiga market.

The board bits in the RF modulator area if you use it solder-side up. The electrons won't fall out. Promised! :-)

  • Thanks for the reply!

    No.

    Ah, that's a shame.

oh, how do you mean? This is as close as I have got.. even with removing the VGA port screws, CF adapter etc it catches the capacitors C236 & C239, or pushes against the RCA and C408? (see attached photo)..

    Thanks

  • Hmm... I was expecting that someone who is capable of removing the RF modulator can also replace an Elcap with a much smaller ceramic one. That should make it fit, also with our buffered CF card interface.

  • Ah... I was expecting when you said 'the board fits in the RF modulator area if you use it solder side up' it would simply fit in that area, thought I was over looking something.

Not to worry, thanks for you help thus far.. will keep looking for a more elegant solution :)

    Thanks again,
