  • Hello,

i have Picasso96 3.32 and i bought a BVisionPPC because i was tired of the Mediator instability, but with my surprise i noticed that games like WipeOut 2097 runs very slow, even at very low resolution, at 320x256 i get less than 10fps.

Is there any known bug or some setting i have to use?

  • I have my doubts that P96 can be the cause of this. Better check your accelerator settings or run Intuition / Graphics tests in SysSpeed on both setups. That will give you an answer about P96/gfx card performance.

  • Well Jens, with CGX 4.2, i can even play wipeout 2097 in window with no slowdowns, so it looks like the problem should not be in hardware but in some software setting

  • Can you run the SysSpeed Intuition/Graphics test with both setups? I really don't want to be chasing ghosts because a game is doing weird things.

  • WipeOut 2097 is well known that runs better in Window than on screen.

Even with a BlizzardPPC clocked at 330Mhz you won't have big differences.

There is an option to set the draw distance, and this make a good difference in framerate.

Try instead the game on an Amiga 4000 with CyberstormPPC and CVision3D... the game flyes.
