  • Hi!

I'm actually experiencing the same issue as there:

Indivision ECS V3 - mounting problem in A600

The actual pins (male-male) to connect inside the A600 / extension card is a little bit to high. And so, the keyboard is mechanically pushing the chip ram extension (with pin and Indivision) down.

I would be glad to have lower/smaller male/male adaptor to fix that and be able to close the computer properly.

Would it be possible to provide such a thing?

    Thanks!

    Cheers

  • Can you share the order number(s) that you've purchased the Indivision and A604n with?

    Jens

  • Sure.

    A604n:

    • Well, it's the "copy" from Archi Tech. To my apologize, as I restarted the Amigas. I was not aware of the A604n
    • Got if from a reseller

    Indivision ECS v3:

    • Bestellung 132176
  • Thanks - I'll send you the invoice when I'm back from holidays. This is not a normal product in the shop, as you may have noticed :-)

    Jens

  • Thanks !

Warning you are tempting me to order something else to cover the shipping cost 😁

    Enjoy your holidays.

  • I can see an open shopping cart in your account that you didn't push to checkout - judging from the number, it must have been a month or two after your Indivision purchase :-)

    Jens

  • Well, I am always hesitating between the A600 and A1200 ).

Looking forward the low profile pins. There has been some progress on the A600 side. OS 3.2 boots !

    Cheers

  • New invoice sent - and please ignore whatever the shop system has just sent out, that's just a wrong click on my side.

    Jens

  • Hi !

first, I know I should have buy the original, A604n...

Now, that I am using the "copy", I noticed, it's not possible to fit the Indivision onto the Chip RAM expansion board because of the 6 pins (3x2) in the middle of the socket. There are quite tall and enter in conflict with the board when using the low profile pins. See pictures.

Having a look on the A604n, it looks to be the same.

How to get the stuff fitted using the low-profile pins for the ECS v3 ? Is it "allowed" to get them ?

Final goal: closed the A600 ! finish the project !

    Cheers

  • That must be a mistake by my staff: The blue units were equipped with too-long pins and are meant to be cut to the same length as the 48 Denise-pins. Sorry about that - if you cut the alignment pins with a wire cutter to be the same length as the low-profile pins (which you already have), this should fit also in the rip-off of the A604n.

    Jens

  • Ok.

I will do that after the vacation at my IT-Job place. They should have a nice (better) cutter as here at home

Thanks for your support. Very appreciated.

PS: I'm impressed by the power supply. Small, cute, works great.

    Cheers
