  • Hello. I've tried configuring Denise emu t use with Keyrah v3.

I've selected positional keys but using a c64 breadbox the keys are bad mapped.

Using the same keoboard with Winvice and positional key emulation (without add any winvice drivers, it works perfect.

Is Denise not fully compatible with Keyrah yet?

  • Well, the keymap was designed to work with VICE... If that emulator uses a different mapping, then it will of course not work :) So the solution is to create a custom keymap in Denise.

  • well with Winvice you mau also not select keyrah driver and just select positional keyoboard as I've done with Denise.

But on Denise there are problems on some keys.

  • Sure, but that doesn't invalidate what i said - the way emulators map the keys is completely up to the emulator. That is also why the "keyrah" keymapping exists in VICE. Many years ago when the first version of keyrah was made, its keymapping was matched against what the Windows port of VICE used (and no extra keymapping file was required). However, that changed during the years, which is why the extra "keyrah" keymapping in VICE was added.

  • With Keyrah v3 I don't need the extra Vice mapping file.

If I use it it doesn't work well with some keys. Without it all keys works as they should do (Winvice 3.8)

  • Ok I figure out how to get Denise working with it.

Every keyboards seems to work as they do on a real c64 now except for LEFT shift (but I can use RIGHT shift to get upper case keys)

That's totally expected behavior - as said, the provided keyrah mapping file is for use with keyrah v2, which was released many years ago, when VICE had a slightly different mapping by default.

    So how? :)

  • Would you post the "Denise" keyboard configuration here, so we can upload it to the Wiki for other Keyrah V3 customers?
