  • The HP chip in the upper picture is Lisa, and it's the most reliable Lisa chip of the three possible vendors.

  • I'm thinking of buying the MK3, however, I see a lot of issues with it. Is the cold boot problem still an issue? Can't turn off the logo? Thank you!

  • Cold boot has been a solved problem for quite some time. Logo display duration can be set to 0 - and that was since the product was introduced.

  • Hi Jens, just in case it is useful information: I recently bought the Indivision AGA Mk3 for my A1200 and I'm also facing the cold boot issue.

The A1200 is fully recapped and apart from the Indivision it is equipped with an ACA1211 and a CF-card adapter on the IDE port, replacing the HD by a CF card. I'm using an after-market PSU (Link to known-bad Keelog thing removed).

After adding your 'indimk3reset' tool into the startup-sequence, upon cold-boot I'm now getting an output on screen, so the issue is fixed - although it's a bit unfortunate as this is only a workaround and not a real fix on hardware level.

Reading some of the threads in the forum on this topic, it seems as if the issue is likely related to the 5V rail being less clean/less stable than expected by the Indivision. Do you have plans for a new revision of the Indivision hardware rendering it less sensitive / more tolerant reg. the 5V rail ?

Edited once, last by Jens: Please don't link to other commercial prodicts - especially no known-bad units. I don't want to deal with the legal implications. ().

  • a real fix on hardware level.

Try a known-good power supply. Keelog uses the same chassis as many other known-bad PSU replacements. Please read our PSU FAQ to find out about the three key specifications that Commodore has put out, which are all violated by these PSUs.
