  • If you're fine witha single-pin-replacement (that is: The insulator will be cut open on that spot to remove/replace the broken pin), we can do that for a flat 20,- EUR plus tax and shipping. THe unit should work without that pin, just the colours on the 23-pin RGB port will be "off by a bit" (literally - bit#1 of the blue channel), but colours on the VGA output will be OK. If you only use the VGA output, you might just leave it like this.

  • Isn’t that just a socket you could simply swap out?

    That adapter socket (male on both ends) is soldered in, and it's a 4-layer PCB with components on both sides. During production, this is done with a selective-soldering robot, but in service, it's all manual labour. You can pay a technician to do that exchange, but with roughly 1 hour of work and 85 EUR/hour for the technician, you easily end up at a price where you can buy a new unit - that's not what the customer asked for.


    I guess the most important bit of information is that there is no danger operating the unit in it's current state.
