  • I've had this for quite a while now, but put it on the back burner with lots of things going on.

I couldn't really find anything when searching around, and updated the firmware with no change. Tried it on my 500, 600, and 2000, and multiple monitors with no change. Sometimes the wavy part near the top goes away, but everything in the right and bottom right stay the same. Any ideas on what can cause this, or a simple fix I'm overlooking?

    Thanks!

  • Looks like a power supply issue. The older Indivision ECS V1 is more sensitive to PSU ripple, and I assume you're a user of a "new" power supply - please confirm, and also mention the exact name of the PSU you'Re using.

  • I've tried a stock light 500 psu, and my Ray Carlsen PSU for the 500 and 600.

On the 2000, two stock PSUs, and also an atx psu with necessary adapter.

I also found others having the same issues once I learned about the issue and what to search for, so I'm reading through those results when I find a spare few minutes.

  • Hmm.. you're listing a few PSU solutions that are known-bad. Please read our PSU FAQ and make sure to eliminate those known causes of failure. Next, you could post a picture of the unit with the Denise chip removed - that will show me a few components that are located under the chip.

  • Here is the picture under Denise.

This shows that the PLL part of this model already has a filter in place for the power supply. One thing that might halp would be an additional 10µF ceramic capacitor in parallel to C2, but you might as well go for a low-ripple power supply and fix the issue at the source :-)
