  • This sounds like you have a RR Clock port installation and bad shielding or a too-long cable. Please describe the whole system, including each and every expansion, cables, power supply etc.

  • Hardware composition of Amiga 1200 : Terrible Fire 534 68030 at 33Mhz

    Controller Buddha 20th Anniversary

ZORRAM A2000 Zorro II Memory Expansion (8mbyte)

    Indivision ECS V2

    Origina Power Supply Model PSM2000.

Compact flash 8 gb for Hard Disk

    KICKSTART 3.1.4 And OS 3.1.4.1

THE CABLES ARE THE USUALLY CABLE USED IN AMIGA 2000 FOR POWER SUPPLY AND Compact flash

  • This does not fit together - an A1200 accelerator in a Zorro computer? A Zorram (which is Z3 only) with only 8M in a Z2 slot?

We're probably talking about two different systems, and/or you're using the wrong names.

  • And what about the memory expansion? That can't possibly be a ZorRAM, as that is a Z3-only card. Further, the Terrible Fire card is a hobby project with unknown timing verification. Do you have a spare card, something like a 2630 to test with?

  • From Amiga kit site:

    ZORRAM A2000 8MB Zorro II memory expansion for Commodore-Amiga 2000 and 1500.

    Features:

Adds 8MB Fast Memory to your Amiga 2000

    Jumpers to select 0MB (OFF), 4MB, 5.5MB or 8MB

    Auto-Config- no software needed

Compatible with all Amiga 2000 motherboard revisions

Unfortunately no other spare accelerator cards.

  • OK, so AmigaKit re-used the Zorram name for a Z2 product - didn't know about that. One thing strikes me, and that's the layout of the 16-bit drivers. Can you run a memory test on this?

Please download the MBRtest2 tool - that's a very good memory test that was shipped with Microbotics memory expansions back in the days. The utility disk can be found here, for example: http://amiga.resource.cx/exp/mbx1200
