Try it and we'll see how it looks. Thanks

we know where to look, use the flippers of the pinball game when you’re making the video. The right flipper is the best to see if there’s any ghosting. At the Dos demo you can see it best after the intro when there are black and white squares on the blue background if I remember it correctly.
Thx!

Wow. Thanks for the videos. I have a hard time seeing any ghosting. This looks really promising!
Now I can confirm there's no ghosting with the ECS V3
The same picture as the AGA MK3, very clear and sharp!
Only Jens and the team behind makes it possible Thx
Videos of Pinball Dreams Steel Wheel and DOS demo, not the best quality and there was some light behind me. Really no ghosting.

Thanks. Good to know This should have been done properly the first time with the ECS V2 and TC64 V2. I would have paid more to avoid ghosting. Hopefully we will get patchboards soon.
But very nice to know the ECS V3 is ghosting free. I might order one.
So today I got my two ECS V3s. First of all it was extremely fast shipping to Norway.
The picture quality on these are amazing! There is absolutely no ghosting. Extremely sharp and vibrant with no trace of ghosting/smearing. Extremely happy with the picture quality from the ECS V3.
Tested on my BenQ BL 702A. Using DOS demo, pinball dreams and various others that would show ghosting/smearing very clearly with the ECS V2. Again, ECS V3 has no trace of ghosting and is showing what I would call a perfect picture. I can safely recommend these to anyone.

Yeah, the picture quality is as sharp like with the Indivision AGA MK3 on my A1200
It's dream to use the A500 again all day. Even with Final Writer there's now a sharp text on the screen, couldn't say this with the ECS V2.
Still have the ECS V2 in his original box, don't really know what to do with it... just 1 year old and still in warranty.
Maybe if I can find somewhere a cheap A500PLUS, I can try it if the picture is better with it or I can try to sell it...

ECS V2 is still a Super Denise (ECS Denise) replacement. Real Super Denise goes for quite alot of money these days. Even though the VGA output has ghosting it's still fine for most games and regular use. I have 2x Indivision ECS V1, 1x ECS V2 and now 2x ECS V3. But I have plenty of A500s, 500+ and A600s.
I doubt you will see much change by trying it on another A500 Plus. Best results I had with the ECS V2 was in my A600s when I secured the VGA connector against the shielding in place of the TV modulator. But even then the ghosting was quite visible, but much better than my 500s.
Hi, was there any conclusion on the "upgrade" board?
Perhaps you already have a project? And you need a beta tester?
If anything, I'd be happy to solder something at my place
+1 upgrade board
I hope I can find the time for that.. let's put a deadline on it for the Amiga show in Mönchengladbach in October. Will try to have the boards ready by then, so I can hand them out for free to everyone who needs one. Not sure if there is hands-on repair projects planned and if there will be a soldering iron near, so the mod can be done on site?
That'd be great. I'll see you in Mönchengladbach and trade you an upgrade board for some space stickers!
Sounds great. Are you able to post them out to owners if they pay the postage cost. If they are free, which is a nice gesture btw, it shouldn't pose a problem to the UK.

Soldering these to the board will be tedious, as you need to remove the three old transistors and possibly other SMD components. Not sure how many people can solder 0402 components with their home equipment? I can certainly mail a PCB to the UK, or include it with a normal order.
Following. I could buy one / pay postage and I can solder 0402 SMDs (Naturally this will void the warranty).
