I've also done the same, and there's no output at all from the board. The chips on the Mk3 are heating up, but no image is being displayed.
I cannot get my New MK3 to work at all. Seems completely dead.

Then please return these units for service. Please read this article before shipping!

Thanks,
I've booked shipping for tomorrow by DHL. It should be with you by the end of next week.

I've booked shipping for tomorrow by DHL.
OMG - that's either way overpriced (aka "express"), or it will take ages. You hopefully noticed that we're shifting away from DHL where we can? If possible, cancel this booking and send it with royal mail, that'll be cheaper and faster. DHL just fails recently - raising prices and lowering services with Covid-19 as their general excuse is all they did in the past half year, after having dropped considerably in 2019. They lost a few lawsuits against iComp last year, and they got worse. There's something seriously wrong in that company, and the best advice I can give is to avoid them.
One more thing: When packing the unit, please keep the flat cable connected on both ends, but keep the boards separated by the black bubble foil bag.

The item should be with you now. Frankly your feelings towards DHL are very similar to my own towards Royal Mail! Besides which, only cost me a tenner and got sent off relatively quickly, so that's way ahead of expected Royal Mail dispatch times currently.

Your unit is here, scheduled to be worked on this week.

Jens-I appear to have the same issue as others in this thread and have attempted all the same mitigation recommendations mentioned.
Should I post my problem photos here, or start a new thread?
-
New thread will be easier for us to keep track.

samingrams your return arrived, and works out of the box - no trouble with the config tool, no trouble with the rescue disk, both outputs working. My guess is that there's a micro-crack in one of the Lisa solder joints on your board.
Please let me know if you want to treat this like a revocation (money back), or if you want to give it another try, maybe with another A1200 board or after re-soldering your Lisa chip?

Thanks for letting me know,
I think I'd prefer the refund
Cheers,
Sam

I think I'd prefer the refund
Will do - however, for completeness I'd like to know what power supply you are using with your A1200. I just scanned through this thread and did not find any info on that.
-
I'm using a modern one from Electroware PL, on searching round I found this was the preferred PSU in most places I could see - linked below:
(link removed - known bad PSU!)

-
Sure. I'd still like the refund please.
-
Hi, I still haven't received a refund on my item - could I ask when you would be able to send this through? Thanks.
-
Sorry for the delay - this last week has been crazy with a combination of contract work, Amiwest preparations and P96 update. The complete amount including shipping has just been refunded.
-
Have you received mine yet?
