BuddhaIDE doesn't work with two CF cards with PFS3 and/or SFS filesystems

  • Hello Jens,

I'm facing a strange problem trying to use two CF cards with BuddhaIDE 20-year anniversary edition (CPLD and ROM already updated to latest releases - ROM is now 52-101).

The main "hard-disk" (really a CF card) of the system is a Sandisk 512Mb CF with PFS3 filesystem (pfs3-aio 18.5) connected to 2nd IDE channel and works fine.

If I connect another CF with FAT32 filesystem to the 1st IDE channel, they are both visible and usable in Workbench.

But... if I connect instead of the FAT one, another CF using SFS or PFS3 filesystems, only the latter is visible. My main "hard-disk" CF disappears. Even on the early boot menu, the main CF with my Workbench installation is not listed.

    My Amiga is a 3000 desktop, with stock 68030 25Mhz, a VA2000 RTG gfx card and 16MB Fastram with a ZIP-DIMM adapter.

    Thanks in advance,

    Best Regards

Sounds like the "last disk bit" is set in the RDB. Launch HDToolbox with that config, then the first CF card will be shown as "changed" - save the changes, reboot and you should see both cards.
